This year brought many innovations in our hair, actives, sun, and skin portfolios. These innovations were crafted keeping in mind the latest consumer trends and demands.

A biotech powered biomimetic bond builder with pure, potent performance, KeraBio™ K31 delivers a vegan keratin recharge at the molecular level, elevating hair strength beyond repair. 

KeraBio™ K31 was featured in the Inspiration Hive. This dynamic destination, curated by BEAUTYSTREAMS, featured exhibitors redefining what’s possible in the beauty and personal care industry. From cutting-edge ingredients to future-forward formulations, the Inspiration Hive brought together trailblazers shaping the next era of innovation.

We were thrilled to have Farahdia Edouard, Senior Research & Technology Manager, speak on the Innovations from the Inspiration Hive panel to further demonstrate this game changing technology. 

 

Sphingo’HAIR™ Drypure™ is a unique bio-fermentation derived ceramide NP that replenishes the skin with essential longer chain ceramides and promotes healthy scalp and hair barrier structures.

Zenakine™ is a cutting-edge neuroactive ingredient designed to counteract the effects of stress on the skin and improve overall wellbeing. It works in sync with the skin’s natural biological rhythms, enhancing melatonin production to help improve sleep quality, elevate positive emotions, and stimulate skin regeneration. It is the first ingredient with clinical instrumental measures on sleep quality and duration benefits.

Crodabond™ CSN offers immediate and long-lasting cuticle sealing and split end repair, for longer healthier-looking hair. It is 100% natural according to ISO 16128, vegan suitable, and has COSMOS certification pending.

Natrineo™ CR8 is a PEG-free, phosphate ester emulsifier that offers a unique capability to create water-in-oil-in-water (W/O/W) emulsions using a single ingredient, simplifying formulation processes. Natrineo CR8 enhances the aesthetics of emulsions, providing a smoother and more elegant texture. Additionally, it improves the delivery of active ingredients, optimising their performance and efficacy.

The booth featured our 360-degree formulation bar - an interactive, hands-on destination where innovation meets inspiration. Visitors explored a curated selection of cutting-edge formulations developed by our technical experts, each showcasing novel textures, trending formats, and sustainable ingredient technologies.

Knowledge and insights from the experts

Croda Beauty had an impressive presence throughout the expert sessions, and we were so thankful to share our knowledge across many relevant topics. Whether you're a formulator, brand leader, or trend spotter, these expert sessions gave fresh inspiration and science-backed solutions in beauty actives, textured hair, and sustainability.

Dr. Alba Cico, Research Team Leader, presented the results of an in-vitro and in-vivo protocol evaluation on the impact of an active ingredients against anxiety and fatigue. Our innovative and complete protocol allowed us to study the effects of psychological stress and that of a cosmetic ingredient with a holistic approach.

Jeannette Marine, Research Manager, discussed the importance of sustainability, which fuelled research into environmentally friendly alternatives to petrochemical-based products, with similar or better performance. Our research into this chemistry led to the development of C10-14 Alkyl Polypropandiol-3 Myristate, a high-performing, naturally derived emollient ester. This ingredient is biodegradable, non-toxic, and offers a more sustainable option for personal care products.

Finally, T'prene Clemons, Lead Applications Scientist, highlighted the importance of personalised solutions and new test methods to ensure the effectiveness of products formulated for textured hair.

Exciting news from the CEW

We were thrilled to attend the NYSCC Awards Night on June 3rd. This iconic event ignited new networking opportunities in a lively atmosphere. The highly anticipated CEW Beauty Awards – Ingredient/Formulation Category Finalists were announced, and Croda Beauty walked away with a finalist spot for Natrineo™ CR8 and Sphingo’HAIR™ Drypure™ ! We are excited for the final results at the CEW Beauty Awards Luncheon on November 11!
