Nourishing hair naturally with Croda Beauty's new PE-free biopolymers
Sustainability at the forefront
We are committed to being the most sustainable supplier of innovative ingredients and are continuously modernising our portfolio to reflect this commitment. A key step in this journey for hair care is the removal of phenoxyethanol from our best-selling biopolymer ingredients. Not only is phenoxyethanol petroleum derived but consumers are concerned that it produces toxic pollutants and can cause skin irritation and endocrine disruption.Instead, by focusing on sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate as preservatives, we're ensuring our ingredients are more sustainably derived and better for those with sensitive skin but still provide the high level of performance demanded by the modern eco-conscious consumer.
Performance driven by nature
Our dedication to sustainability doesn't mean compromising on performance. We're proud to offer a diverse range of naturally derived hair care ingredients that cater to the latest consumer trends and needs:
Crodasone™ P SB: This heat-activated pea protein and silicone copolymer defends against cuticle cracking and shields hair from heat damage, a growing concern as styling tools become increasingly popular. The global thermal hair protection market is projected to reach $3.7 billion by 2028, and Crodasone P is perfectly positioned to meet this demand.
Regulatory compliance and market readiness
We recognise the importance of regulatory compliance in the ever-changing global landscape. All our replacement products meet the regulatory requirements of the regions where they are sold. We are also in the process of listing these products within the new Cosmetics Supervision and Administration Regulation (CSAR) for sale in China, a market that is projected to see significant growth in the coming years.Search our website
To make it as easy as possible to find the biopolymers in our range that are PE-free, we have added a search function to our Product Finder. Under Composition Information, select the box for PE / Paraben free to narrow down your search.Partner with us
