Croda produces a broad range of ester materials including sorbitan esters, mono and diglycerides, and polyoxyethylene sorbitol esters. These nonionic surfactants can function as emulsifiers, detergents, spreading or dispersing agents. By choosing a product with the appropriate required HLB from the esters portfolio, either oil-in-water (O/W) or water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions can be produced. These products are used widely in personal care since fatty esters have excellent emulsification, emollient and lubricant properties.
