She holds a Master of Science in Drug Design and an Advanced Master® in Innovation Project Management. Hishda began her career in dermatological care development before specialising in functional ingredients and cosmetic actives.

After training in laboratories in the UK & US, Dr Alba Cico obtained her PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology in France from Paris Sorbonne Cité University. She joined a start-up specialising in molecular biology where she developed innovative kits for research. She has been working in Croda for 6 years where she now leads a research team for Beauty Actives. Her team focuses on efficacy testing, and on deciphering the mechanisms of action of active ingredients.
