Crodarom® Papyrus

Add to favourites
Cyperus papyrus is the genuine Egyptian papyrus. Growing in the Nil Delta, the papyrus, symbol of Egypt, is ever green. Represented on Pharaoh’s tombs and as Goddesses sceptre, it symbolises rebirth, regeneration, eternal youth and vigor. Papyrus is composed of cellulose, lignin, various sugars and minerals. An aquatic plant, it is perfectly adapted to absorb and transfer water and minerals. Due to this, Papyrus have moisturising, energising and revitalising properties. In ancient Egypt, papyrus was used for food (root and flesh was eaten), medicine, fibre and shelter. In ethnobotany, it was used as a tonic, to reduce infections and to soothe pains.
